22-24 Feb 2008 - NYC Trip (Part Two)

2nd day in NYC started off with visiting Ground Zero...
you can say that it's just a construction site....
with all the giant cranes, iron rods, concrete blocks and cement dust flying all around but there's a lot more than just a normal site...
it's filled with sadness for it's lost together with hope for the future...
there's a WTC Path Station put up to show you the history of that fateful day,
what was done and what will be coming up in the near future...

i didn't feel a heart pain lost till i saw this pic!
he is an officer...but yet he shed tears that was right from the bottom of his heart!
i felt his pain instantanously at that very moment....
felt how vulnerable that one can become....
even when the strongest person have to face with the lost of loved ones,
they will break down....

Lunch at NYC Chinatown!
Lucky day for the restaurant~
Stupid customers who ordered 6 plates of noodles!
IT WAS SUCH A "FULL" MISTAKE!!

Not to be MISSED!!
Who cares about the cold chilly winter day?!?

eating ice-cream along the streets in the cold...
*Yummy*

The Empire State Building
here's where the King Kong attacks!

Grand Central Station

interior of the station was just so nicely done!

One of the famous CHOCOLATE hunt places...
Hershey's @ Times Square

as usual...i don't really fancy chocolate...
but this is the only thing i like in the shop!

Located directly across Hershey's...
here's M&M's World @ Times Square!

the full range of colour selections for M&M is just so crazy!

i got my small bag of M&M...
just because i wanna try the limited edition of Cherry-flavoured M&M!
hehe...i only got a handful of them (like 20 pieces)
yet i took more than a week to finish them...

The Oscars in town!

The ever well-known "Golden Man"....

"I would like to thank my parents and friends...
the director and crew...the panel of judges and the audiences!
Thank you so much for this award!!
Thank you!!...Thank you!!"
HAHAHA...*so cheesy*
It's the REAL thing...quite heavy so it's really GOLD! @.@

Yeah....going for Broadway Musical is one of my fav!!
This time it's RENT on the list!

cost me USD$60 for the musical...
it's such a steal for tickets that cost USD$110 normally!!!
i was seated in right in the centre area facing the stage!
so happy though tired from the long day...
it's all worth it to queue and squeeze with the crowd to "nab" the tickets!
