23 Aug 2008 - BBQ-Potluck Party

the one and only BBQ i went to this summer!!

a nice sunny weather day last Saturday...

Joel was the host, I'm the coordinator!

heehee...have to make sure this BBQ goes well...

if not, there wouldn't be so much fun...

thankfully everything went well,

everyone enjoyed themselves...

kids had fun running and going all around,

parents get to chat and mingle with friends,

i got to babysit all the kids...playing and chasing!!

it's my 1st time interacting with the kids....

heard alot about them...finally got to meet them!

they are all so smart and adorable...

very very active too!

22 Aug 2008 - Surprise Birthday Bash!

we were being tricked big time!!

a "prank" call from Agnes,

we (me, winnie and joelle) rushed to the common room of Heritage Village,

it turned out to be a birthday surprise!

winnie and i were completely clueless till we got there....

smoke from dry ice coming out from the door,

(Winnie and I thought that was some ghosts!?!)

luckily the happy birthday song came on from the piano,

we run in and saw the set-up on the table!!

i saw my housemate and Agnes at the sides of the door...

"creating" the smoke effect with buckets of dry ice!!

that moment i was just so overwhelmed with emotions...

laughing and screaming together with Winnie!

Yves "marched" out with two bouquets of flowers too...

it was so beautiful under the candle lights....

thinking it would just be a normal birthday celebration,
never expected it to happen earlier either...
an unexpected "bomb" dropped on the two August birthday girls....

16 Aug 2008 - Altamont Fair

a day at the local fair...

reminds me of the funfair i used to go when i was young~

the local americans grew up going to fair like this too.

heard it's a setting where young american teen couples go on date!

that's why my housemate feels it's so romantic to go for a fair...

especially at night where the lightings come on at the fair,

yes, i agree with her!

going to the fair with friends has it's fun too....

few of us going around looking at the animals,

trying out some crazy fair stuffs,

going on rides together and scream like no one could hear you,

eating oily and greasy fried food which tasted so good!

experience a pop concert in US !!

**super duper excited**

yeah~ i got a pair of FREE concert tickets!

what a "good lobang" from our company!!

finally got to the venue...

maybe some hockey action next???

AMRI has got a suite in the arena!

of cos we did check it out...

nothing special but you get to use the private restroom!

it's packed with teens and their families in the arena...

though he's the 1st runner-up...

i like his performance better!

it's a great girlies' night out!

Random~~

it's August now...it's my month!!

i wanna do something i like...

to make myself feel better and happier!

i don't feel like doing trip alone this time,

yet there isn't anyone around thinking on the same line as me.

hmmm...it's a down side!

i should be more compromising and not a brat!

going with the majority plan??

i don't want to...at least for now...

i think i can be wilful,

or a spoilt brat...whatever~

i only have my birthday once a year...

overrules any other stuffs!! (i said so)

suddenly i remembered my birthday celebration last yr....

i think i wouldn't forget that ever...

it was such a nice and great night till it went crazy, hilarious and tiring!

i don't know if i had told you guys before...

it's Sitar again....nice indian food but....

i always get this curry-overwhelmed feeling after it...
